Merchant Taylors' School, …moreNorthwood: 280-acre estate with some of the best cricket facilities of any school in England. 12 grass cricket squares, world-class indoor cricket centre (2024), 10 artificial nets, 16 grass nets. Training base for Middlesex CCC 1st XI. Previous hosts to India, Australia, Sri Lanka, and England international squads.
Cricket Tikes is independent of the school — we hire the facilities because they're the best available. Your child benefits from a professional cricket environment without needing to attend the school.

Independent, family-run cricket coaching since 2017. We sit alongside your child's club and school — never in competition.
Game-based cricket coaching for 7–10 year olds. Small groups (1:4 coach ratio), proper technique from session one, and a structure built around how children actually learn.
Every session covers batting, bowling, fielding, captaincy and game play. Children are split into teams of four or five, each with a dedicated coach. They brief at the start, debrief at the end, and earn rewards as a team. Proper coaching, delivered joyfully.
175+ active players. 50+ graduates in competitive club cricket. 12 county pathway placements through Middlesex.
All coaches ECB-qualified, DBS-checked, safeguarded, and first-aid certified (including AED). Led by Jason Moore, ECB Advanced Level 3 Coach and Middlesex Scout. Mark Ramprakash MBE is our Ambassador.
Groups 3 and 4 share the same age band — the difference is developmental readiness, not talent. It's not a judgement on ability — it's a judgement on timing, and getting the timing right is one of the most important things we do. Progression to Group 4 is based on coaching observations across the whole child. We track every child, every week.

Price:
£42.50 per month
This class is covered by a regular payment every month.
Subscription: Cricket Tikes operates a monthly membership plan that conveniently spreads the cost of all weekly classes throughout the year (excluding camps and special events). Payments are taken via direct debit on the 1st of every month, including school holiday months where no sessions take place — this keeps costs consistent and affordable year-round.
As long as you maintain your payments, your regular class fees are covered and you will be automatically rebooked into the next term without needing to re-enter payment details.
We operate three terms a year, usually 8–10 weeks long, mirroring school terms as closely as possible. Term dates are confirmed at the end of the previous term.
Cancellation requires one term's notice in writing (via email to bookings@crickettikes.co.uk). Without notice, the subscription reverts to per-class rates (£17 standard / £27 Academy) for all classes operated during the term in which cancellation occurs, plus a cancellation charge equivalent to one full month's subscription fee at the rate applicable at the time of cancellation (full details: https://crickettikes.classforkids.io/terms-and-conditions).
The £30 setup fee includes a Cricket Tikes polo shirt. Multi-child and multi-class discounts available — contact us for details.
All children also have to pay a £30.00 Setup Fee
