Merchant Taylor’s School is set on a superb 285-acre estate of playing fields and lakes. The 200-acres of sports facilities are magnificent.
Cricket heritage at Merchant Taylors’ is exceptionally strong with 17 competitive teams throughout the school and top class cricket facilities including 12 grass cricket squares, indoor and outdoor (all weather) nets, grass nets, and 3 bowling machines. Middlesex CCC and MCC Young Cricketers train and play regularly at the school, and the Australian cricket team trained at the school in preparation for their Ashes tours of 2013 and 2015 as did the Indian cricket team in 2018. In 2019, Sri Lanka, England and Australia will all be based at Merchant Taylors' School for part of their training schedules for the ICC World Cup.
Contained within the beautiful grounds of Merchant Taylors' School is OMT Colts Cricket Club (OMTCCC) which benefits from the incredible first-class cricket facilities. Cricket Tikes works closely with both School and Club to provide a pathway of continuity for the children, ensuring this opportunity is available to all. less
Inspirational Cricket classes for 5-6 year olds to build confidence, develop fundamental movement skills and a lifelong love of the great game.
We are passionate about creating a great first experience of Cricket for children. We understand the cricket pathways - our coaches run Colts sections at local cricket clubs and are all ECB qualified, insured and vetted, including Safeguarding, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), First Aid and specifically experienced in coaching this younger age group. Several of our coaches are Lead Coaches at Lord's Cricket Ground, for MCC Cricket Academy.

Classes are kept small so your child gets the best experience and we encourage fundamental movement skills through batting, bowling and fielding. We introduce a moving ball and game-based activities by the end of each term and recognise individual progression through inclusive rewards, lots of encouragement and personal bests.
Above all else our classes are FUN!

£41.50 per month
This class is covered by a regular payment every month.
Subscription: Cricket Tikes operates by a monthly membership plan which conveniently spreads the cost of all classes throughout the year (excluding camps and special events). As long as you keep your payments going, your regular classes fees are covered, subject to a terms notice to cancel. We operate three terms a year, usually between 8 - 10 weeks long, mirroring school terms as closely as possible and send out our term dates in advance of each new term. Cricket Tikes membership payments are taken via direct debit from your credit / debit card on the 1st of every month.
All children also have to pay a £30.00 Setup Fee
