Our experienced and fully qualified team of cricket coaches will deliver an action-packed programme of cricket game-based activities, including highlights from our termly cricket curriculum, which at its core aims to build confidence, be fun and inspire a lifelong love of our sport and general physical activity. We believe this to be key in engaging and developing social skills such as teamwork and communication, whilst teaching basic cricket skills including catching, throwing and hitting moving balls. The programme is suitable for all children new to cricket and sport as the sessions are designed to teach the basic skills of the game. We are supported by The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), All Stars Cricket and part of the Chance To Shine Schools Programme. Cricket Tikes ambassador is the England Batting Coach, Mark Ramprakash MBE and our brand partner is iconic cricket manufacturer, Gray-Nicolls. Our venues undergo safeguarding, risk and insurance assessments. Alongside this, all our coaches have received training and are fully checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Camp notes

Please take a few moments to thoroughly read through the following information before arriving at the venue, which form part of our terms and conditions under Parent/Carer Obligation:

If you or any member of your household has symptoms of COVID-19 however mild, observe government advice and stay at home. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the facility and observe social distancing rules at all times. Once you have entered the facility, please keep your children with you until the coaches call you in to class. When your class finishes, please leave promptly using the designated exit point and do not remain on site.

We will be conducting non-contact temperature checks upon arrival and sanitisation procedures before and after each session. Children will be separated into small groups with one coach. Inevitably there will have to be some sharing of equipment, but this will be kept to a minimum, in line with Government COVID-19 Secure guidelines. We expect all children to receive sanitiser gel upon arrival and departure (which we will provide). If your child has any allergies or if we do not receive your consent to administer hand sanitiser, please advise ahead of your arrival, together with what measures you will be taking in lieu. We reserve the right to refuse admission if this is not provided in advance of your visit.

Lunch and Food at Camp: Please ensure your child has a clearly named water bottle, which we are able to refill. You will need provide children with a packed lunch stored in a cool box/bag and clearly marked with their full name. We operate a no nut policy. This includes but is not limited to peanut butter, chocolate hazelnut spread (Nutella), marzipan, cookies and chocolate containing nuts ie. Snickers. We will not allow the children to share food or drinks.

Clothing: The children should be dressed in appropriate sports clothing, jacket / hoodie, trainers, sun hat and suncream pre-applied.
